Samuel Sherman Boob, 29, of Tusseyville, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at his home. Sammy was a loving father who leaves behind four beautiful children; Emily age 10, Chloe age 6, Landon age 4, and Hunter 6 months.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Mirinda S. Heintzelman Boob, his parents Sam and Eva Boob of Spring Mills and his sister Christy Cort and her husband Ben of Westminster, CO.

Sammy leaves behind an extended but very close-knit and loving extended family to include; maternal great-grandmother Mary Shaffer of Coburn; maternal grandparents Larry and Lucy Shaffer of Coburn; paternal, grandparents, Charles and Mary Boob of Millheim; aunts and uncles, Tom & Julie Smith of Center Hall, Alex and Candace Bierly of Center Hall, and Larry and Dawn Shaffer of Spring Mills, Carson Boob of Spring Mills and Roger and Chris Boob of Aaronsburg; and cousins Aaron, Lucy, Jen, Luke, Lance, Vincent, Dustin, Oksana, Octavio, Ossiana, and Orencio

His further extended family in the Valley is too numerous to mention by name but were well loved by Sammy.

As we all try to make sense of this tragedy in our own way we remember that the names above as well as the hundreds of people who would call Sammy their friend will all have to learn what this world looks like without Sammy's quick smile and generous hand extended. Sammy gave without reserve and was always sure to be there on a moments notice to help a friend or loved one with whatever they needed. Whether he was at home playing with his amazing children, with his family sharing meals, laughs, and hunting stories, helping a friend to get their vehicle running, sitting around the fire laughing with friends, off by himself in the woods hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms, or driving/riding around the Valley that he loved so much in one of the many vehicles that he brought back to life, Sammy did what he did with passion.

To sum up a life like his in a few words is an impossible task. Sammy has left this world to enjoy the next but we are all still here and the hole that he has left will be impossible to fill. As we all mourn the loss in our own ways, let us consider the way that Sammy lived and honor him by being there for our families and friends by always answering when called upon and by giving to those around us without reserve.

All are invited to come remember the life lived by Samuel S. Boob on Friday, August 28, 2009, from 5 to 8 p. m. when friends will be received at New Hope Lutheran Church, 119 Cobblestone Court, Spring Mills,

A service of remembering and celebrating his life will be held at 3 p. m. Saturday, August 29, 2009, also at New Hope Lutheran Church.

The family invites you to bring photos and written/typed memories to the service to be saved for the children so that they may better know their father as they grow.

Rather than flowers and food, the family would like to ask that donations be directed to the Samuel S. Boob Trust Fund C/O Northwest Savings Bank, P. O. Box 395, Centre Hall, PA 16828. A trust has been established in Sammy's name to provide for his four children.
