Obituary of Sara B. Waltz , 78

Sara B. Waltz, 78, of Pleasant Gap, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Hearthside Nursing Home.

Born on Sept. 3, 1930, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Laird Bathurst and Pearl Wasson Bathurst. On Oct. 25, 1952, in Bellefonte, she married Lloyd Waltz, who survives at home. She was a graduate of the Bellefonte Area High School. Sara worked as a secretary at Penn State University before her retirement. She was a member of the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church.

Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas Waltz and his wife, Dee, of Bellefonte; one daughter, Rebecca Moore and her husband, Albert, of Pleasant Gap; three grandchildren, Keri Laird, of Madisonburg, Terry (T.J.) Snare, of Pleasant Gap, and Bo Waltz, of Bellefonte; and four great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.

There will be a public visitation held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, from 9 until 11 a.m., the time of the service, at the Wetzler Funeral Service Inc. in Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Osif officiating. Burial will follow in Hublersburg Cemetery, Walker Township.
