Obituary of Sara E Irvin, 85

Sara E Irvin, 85, of Beech Creek, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at The Fairways at Brookline Village in State College. Born on November 22, 1924, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Wilber and Madeline Rhoads. She was married to Marvin L Irvin, who preceded her in death.
Sara attended the Bellefonte school system. She was employed at the Armstrong Plant in Beech Creek until her retirement. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion Post 623 and the Moose Lodge 151 of Bellefonte.
Sara is survived by a son, John W Irvin (Joyce) of Madisonburg, a daughter, Linda Shirk of Bellefonte, two brothers, Dale Rhoads of Bellefonte, and Robert Rhoads of Florida, and two sisters, Madeline Yarnell and Alma Robinson both of Bellefonte. Also surviving are five grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter.
Friends will be received from 9-10am on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 135 W Main St. Howard. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at Schencks Cemetery, Howard Twp.
