Obituary of Sheryl Dorman, 72

Sheryl A. Dorman, 72, of Pleasant Gap, passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center, Friday, March 17, 2017. Sheryl was born on January 6, 1945 in Lock Haven, a daughter of Goldie M. Confer Burd Corman of Bellefonte and the late Leonard M. Burd.

On August 28, 1965 she married Ray Edward Dorman, Sr. who survives at home. Sheryl is survived by her sons Ray Edward Dorman, Jr. of State College, Scott A. (Jynnea) Dorman of Pleasant Gap and Robert J. (Michelle) Dorman of Lititz. Sheryl is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Kimberly Dorman, Krista Kellander, Scott A. Dorman, Jr., Kayla Dorman, Brittany Dorman, Alexandria Dorman, Ashlyn Dorman and Robert M. Dorman, and her three great-grandchildren, Amelia, Emmalee and Theodore. Sheryl is also survived by her three sisters, Janet (Jim) Coder of Bellefonte, Alice Shultz of Derry, Deb (Jeff) Catherman of rural Bellefonte, her two brothers, Daniel Burd of rural Bellefonte, Leonard (Kathy) Burd of rural Bellefonte and her step-brother Anthony (Kim) Corman of Greensburg, NC.

Sheryl had worked at Penn State in the laundry and also in the Milk Testing Lab. She enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved to read, and enjoyed her flowers. Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ronald E. Baker officiating.
Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co., PA.
