Shirley “Shay” Ann Long Keller was born on March 20, 1928. Raised by her grandparents, Harry and Blanche Long, she was a 1946 graduate of State College Area High School and attended Penn State. Her husband of 61 years, William H. Keller, preceded her in death on January 1, 2010.

Shay is survived by four daughters; Marsha (Ronald) Stover of Warriors Mark; Marilyn (Gary) Byers; Melody (Joseph) Mehalick; both of Boalsburg and Melisa Jodon of Richmond VA. She also is survived by nine grandchildren, W. Kenneth Stover, Warriors Mark; Jennifer (Sam)Byers Kennedy, Baltimore, MD; Joseph Mehalick, Gainesville, VA; Matthew ( Nicole)Stover ,Warriors Mark; Tracie Mehalick, Boalsburg; Lisa (Chris) Stover Stathes ,Tyrone; Natasha and Jessica Alter and Kadi Jodon all of Richmond, VA. She has seven great-grandchildren Christian Richard, Zoey and Jacob Stover, Anna and Kate Kennedy and Kendall and Matilyn Stathes.

Additionally she is survived by a special niece, Cathy (Raymond) Holsing and children Kristin, Mark (Hannah) and Laura.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills for more than 50 years where she was a member of the worship and music committee and sang in the choir. She loved to sing, play Bridge and was an accomplished seamstress.

There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are handled by Mark B. Heintzelman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bob Perks Fund, PO Box 313, State College, PA 16804 or St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 200, Pine Grove Mills, PA 16868.

Shay’s family thanks the staff of the Mount Nittany Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided during her recent hospitalization.
