Obituary of Shirley L. Markle, 79

Shirley L. Markle, 79, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on December 26, 1938, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late George and Annabelle (Ward) Lohr. She was married to her beloved husband, William A. Markle, who preceded her in death.

She attended Bellefonte Area High School. Shirley was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Rose Ann Tate (Glenn) of Pleasant Gap, and two sons, Leroy Martin Inhoof, Jr. (Kelley) of Boalsburg, and Ronald H. Inhoof of Pleasant Gap; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Jane Show of Bellefonte.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one brother.

Shirley enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and making ever-lasting memories.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10-11am at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Centre County Memorial Park.
