Obituary of Stella Etters, 69

Stella Mae Etters, 69 of Howard, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was born on April 27, 1941 in Bellefonte the daughter of the late David and Laura Jane Summers Hendershot.

Stella Mae married John R. Etters Sr. on November 14, 1959, who survives at home. She was a homemaker.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Catherine I and husband Harold of Howard and Laura J. and husband Tom of Bellefonte. two sons; John Jr. of Berwick and David E. of Howard, three sisters; Ethel Ault, J. Marie Bowen, and Nancy Ghaner, one brother; Jerry Hendershot. She was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:30 with the Pastor Nathan Purdy officiating. Burial will be at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
