Obituary of Thelma McKinley, 94

Thelma A. McKinley, 94, formerly of rural Bellefonte, passed away at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home, on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Thelma was born on November 9, 1921 in Union Twp., Centre Co., PA. a daughter of the late Fred M. and Erma Brown Witherite. On July 19, 1939, she married Donald A. McKinley who preceded her in death on April 5, 1988. Thelma is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Miller of rural Julian, two sons, Barry W. McKinley of Runville and Gary A. McKinley also of Runville, eight grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

Thelma was the last of her generation. She was employed at Penn State University as a Lab Technician. Thelma was a member of the Runville United Methodist Church, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon McKinley DeCoursey and four brothers, Reuben Witherite, Robert Witherite, Teddy O. Witherite , John Witherite and two sisters, Helen Pitetti and Evelyn Confer.

Funeral Services for Thelma A. McKinley will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, from 9:00 A.M.- 10:00 A.M. time of the services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co., PA.
