Obituary of Thomas Ray Unger, 62

Thomas Ray Unger, 62, of Lamar, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Gatehouse Hospice Care in Williamsport. Born on September 21, 1953, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Ray and Betty Masser Unger. On November 12, 1977, he married Ethel Rae Craddock who survives at home.

Thomas retired from Corning Glass Works in State College after 27 years of service. He was of the of the protestant faith. He was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion and Lock Haven V.F.W.

Thomas is survived by his wife; son, Thomas Jason Unger of Mt. Union, two step-sons; Joseph Young and his wife, Cathie, of Centre Hall and David Young and his wife, Brenda, of Martinsville, LA, step-daughter, Christina Provost and her husband, John, of Sunset, LA. Also surviving are his three brothers, Ronnie, Robert, and Bill, two sisters; Donna Brungard and Bonnie Unger, 23 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Unger.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1pm with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating at the Kader-Neff Funeral, 135 Main St. Howard. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
