Obituary of Thomas Weaver, 63

Thomas M. “Monk” Weaver, 63, of Fallentimber, formerly of Bush Hollow, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his home. Born on September 30, 1953, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Dean R. and Phyllis (Gordon) Weaver. His wife of 43 years, Dolly (Litz) Weaver survives at home.

He worked at Zeigler Company for several years, then worked for R. Lee Services, Inc., in Maryland until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football and car racing. He enjoyed pranking his family and friends and had a great sense of humor. His greatest pleasure in life was his family but most of all being a pappy to Elliot Thomas Weaver, his best buddy, a loving and welcomed addition to our lives.

He is survived by three daughters: Phyllis R. Weaver, Hope N. Weaver and her fiancée Larry, Megan D. Weaver all Fallentimber, four brothers: Dean Weaver, Jr. and his wife Jane of Centre Hall, John Weaver and his wife Burtha of Melrose, FL, Denny Weaver and his wife Doris of Bellefonte, Douglas Weaver of Bellefonte, and one grandson, Elliot Thomas Weaver of Fallentimber. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law: Eva and Norma Weaver of Bellefonte, one brother-in-law, Mike Blair of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Blair, three brothers: Roy, David and Larry.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 402 Willowbank Street, Bellefonte, at 1:00 pm, with Reverend Frank E. Skies officiating.
