Obituary of Twila Jean (Harshberger) Ishler, 83

Twila Jean (Harshberger) Ishler, 83, of Arcadia, FL, formerly of Bellefonte, PA and Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia. Born in Centre County on September 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert C. and Julia Ann (Lese) Harshberger. She was married to her beloved husband, Donald W. Ishler, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2000.

Twila attended Hagerstown Jr. College and Shepherd College. She worked as an educator for several years.

Twila is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Matthews (Dr. Robert Matthews) of Wildomar, CA, and one son and daughter-in-law, Vincent Ishler (Phyllis) of Sebastian, FL. She was the loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her treasured companion, Ronald Holder, one son, Vance Ishler, and sisters, Betsy Moyer and Joyce Sager.

After her retirement, Twila enjoyed shopping for bargains and spending time with her many friends.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
