Obituary of Vincent Kushwara Jr., 72

Vincent W. Kushwara, Jr., 72 of Bellefonte, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born on June 21, 1944, a son of the late Vincent W. and Eleanor Hall Kushwara, Sr.

On July 19, 2008 he married the former Carol A. Ripka who survives at home.

He is also survived by a daughter Heather (Alan) White-Redmond of Milesburg and a son Eric S. (Vanessa) White of Howard, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Sylvia Confer of Bellefonte and Carol Ann (Joseph) Stewart of State College. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Vince was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Faith. He was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. Vince was a Captain at S.C.I. Rockview before his retirement. He was a member of Bellefonte Elks Post #1094, Pleasant Gap American Legion Post 435, Bellefonte V.F.W. He also enjoyed golfing, fly fishing, his friends at the coffee club, and had a love for New York City.

Services for Vincent W. Kushwara, Jr., will be held at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church, Friday, July 1, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. with Pastor Chester W. Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co., at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be sent to Bellefonte Elks Club, 1094 Home Service Fund, 120 W. High St., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
