Obituary of Violet Johnstonbaugh, 70

Violet Ann Johnstonbaugh, 70, of State College, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Juniper Village at Brookline, State College.

Born February 2, 1945, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Anna Violet Kitting Koch.

She is survived by two daughters, Leslie M. Aurandt and her husband, Kurtis and Laurie A. Johnstonbaugh, both of State College; one sister, Caryl Grove and her husband, Malcolm, of Union City; two grandsons, Kody and Kerrick; two nephews, Mike and Chris Grove; and her former husband, Paul, of Bellefonte.

Violet was a 1963 graduate of Sate College Area High School. She received a bachelor's degree in Dietary Science from Penn State University in 1967.

She retired in 2014, after 25 years of service as a Sales Associate for Walmart.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015, at the funeral home, with Celebrant Jackie Hook officiating.
