Virginia Henry, 79, of Centre Hall, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Virginia was born February 24, 1937 at Lewistown; a daughter of the late Anthony Simonetti Sr. and Caterina Battista Simonetti.

After Virginia graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1956, on May 16, 1958, she married her beloved husband Harry G. Henry who survives at home.

Mrs. Henry worked at Hanover Foods, and at area grocery stores in Centre Hall, including Emery’s Store and Hosterman’s Market.

She was a member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Spring Mills, where she and her husband were among the first charter members, having joined the church July 2, 1982.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Harry B. Henry (Kelly) of Centre Hall, Carol S. Stover (Lester) of Spring Mills, and Douglas S. Henry (Karen) of West Palm Beach, FL. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren that she adored; Chad Stover (Christina), Stephanie Stover, Matthew Henry (Megan), Heidi Stover, Kristen Liddell (Gregory), Megan, Ryan and Rebecca Henry. Great grandchildren, Nolen and Aliza Stover, Mackenzie Cogar, Regan and Paige Liddell, Hunter Henry, Zion and Benjamin Henry.

Also surviving Virginia are her five sisters, Annie Smith, Angela Lindsey, Catherine Royer (Ron), Grace Thomas, and Judy Peters (Bob).

Virginia was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Anthony Simonetti.

Friends will be received from 3 -5 pm Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a. m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 3503 Penns Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA; with Father George Jakopak as Celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall.
