Obituary of Virginia W. Thompson, 86

Virginia W. Thompson, 86 of Beech Creek, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 19, 1929 in Beech Creek, the daughter of the late Harry & Dorothy Leathers Wagner.

On May 21, 1955 she married Ronald C. Thompson who preceded her in death on August 10, 2012.

She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She served as a librarian aide for many years at the Beech Creek Elementary School.

She was a graduate and class president of the Lock Haven High School.

Virginia is survived by one daughter; Joyce Dowler (Robert) of Latrobe, two sons; Ronald Jr. (Nancy) of Brea, Calif., and David Thompson of Rote, two sisters; Jeanne (Richard) Dunkle of Rote, and Louise Counsel of Beech Creek, a brother; Richard Wagner, five grandchildren; Kristen, Blair, Jason, Adam, & Kyle.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard, Pa. with the Rev. Dr. Christopher A. Davis and Rev. Stan Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Hays-Fearon Cemetery in Beech Creek.
