Walter Lee Shay, 53 of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born in Bellefonte on November 17, 1955 the son of Walter Leonard Shay and Janet Marie Keeler.
He married Lorna Marie Fetters. Along with Lorna he is survived by 2 sons; Greg Shay of Bellefonte & Shannon also of Bellefonte. 2 daughters; Charlene Shuey of Bellefonte and Maggie Gates of Centre Hall. He is also survived by 1 brother; John Hinds of Michigan. He also has 4 grandchildren; Summer, Shannon, Kensey and Tasha.
He enjoyed Television and sporting events.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery.
