Obituary of Wanda Baumgardner , 87

Wanda E. Baumgardner, 87, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. A daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Frank) Fullmer, she was born on January 25, 1927, in State College. On August 21, 1946, she married William C. Baumgardner, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1998.

Wanda was a graduate of State College Area High School Class of 1944. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed finding treasures at yard sales and refurbishing those finds for flea markets. She enjoyed her family until Alzheimers took her joy.

She is survived by two daughters; Jennie Andrus (Bill) of Pleasant Gap, Karen Benner (Frank) of Zion, four grandchildren; William Andrus, Jr, Steve Andrus, Michael Benner and Craig Benner, along with seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Dorothy Yingling, Mary Walker, and a brother, George Fullmer.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014, at Pleasant Gap Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Township, at 12 PM, with Pastor Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will follow.
