Obituary of Wayne Zweig, 66

Wayne D. Zweig, 66, of State College died July 8, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

He was born October 13, 1946, in Philadelphia a son of the late G. Edward and Grace (Kemery) Zweig.

On February 29, 1980, at the Eisenhower Chapel at Penn State he married Darlene E. (Treaster) Zweig who survives at home.

Wayne was a member of the Mount Nittany United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, a Penn State University graduate and was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association. For twelve years he worked as a Para Professional at the State College School District with special needs children where his goal was to make a difference. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his work, traveling, and visiting the casinos.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael Dunkle of Providence RI and David Zweig of Breckenridge CO. He was preceded in death by his infant son Hans Zweig.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Mount Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 E. Branch Rd, State College, PA 16801 and 9:30 to 11:00 AM Friday, July 12 at the church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with the Reverend Edward Preston officiating with Military honors to follow.
