Obituary of Wilbur Johnston, 72

Wilbur D. Johnston, 72 of Julian passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bellefonte on October 24, 1940 a son of the late Robert Colpetzer & Marjorie M. Johnston.

He married Virginia R. Prisk on November 30, 1964, she survives at home.

Wilbur was a self-employed truck driver. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a memer of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Port Matilda Fire/Police. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

He is survived by one daughter; Dawn (Kevin) Corman of Bellefonte, three sons; Wilbur Jr. of Somerset, Brian (Dena) of Howard, and Jack (Crystal) of Houtzdale, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a grandson; Wilbur III whom he raised of Buffalo, KY.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Pastor Renee Ford officiating. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 – 7:00 prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery.
