William C. Ripka, 83,of Huntingdon, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Mount Nittany Medical Hospital.
Born June 23, 1927, in State College, he was a son of the late Clayton C. Ripka and Jean L. Long. He was a graduate of State College High School and the Thompson Business School. He served in the U. S. Army with the rank of sergeant, as an administrative specialist engineer in Germany. He was owner and operator of the Ripka Cottages near Raystown Lake. He was employed at ALVO Electronics and at the Applied Research Laboratory in State College. He was also employed at the Cardiac Control Systems in Florida. He was an instrumental leader at the Raystown Lake Ski Club. He was of the Protestant faith.
His is survived by several cousins. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Pine Hall Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Millheim.
