Obituary of William Rojas , 84

William Rojas Sr. 84 of State College died Friday, July 27, 2012 at his residence. Born March 14, 1928 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico the son of the late Manuel and Vincenta Colon Rojas. On September 14, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY he married the former Zoe Sanchez who survives in State College alone with four sons and three daughters, Manuel Rojas and his wife Nancy of Annandale, NJ, Marcella Romano and her husband Angelo of Barnegat, NJ, Charles Fuente and his wife Josephine of State College; William Rojas Jr. and his wife Estell of State College; John Rojas and his fiancée Lilliana of State College, Vicky Zayas and her husband Guillermo of State College, Michele Rivera and her husband Daniel of State College. William was preceded in death by a son Manuel Fuente and two sisters and three brothers.

William served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and attended Brooklyn Technical School and Lafayette University. He retired after 22 years as Plant Supervisor with Phoenix Candy Company in Brooklyn, NY.

Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home at 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801 on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6 until 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. With Pastor Buck Fetzer and Pastor Harry Brotzman officiating. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery.
