Paul Daniel Lose, Jr., 79, of Centre Hall, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Born on August 8, 1944, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Paul Daniel Lose, Sr. and Margaret Beatrice (Howard) Lose. He was married to his beloved wife, Judith K. (Reed) Lose, who preceded him in death on May 23, 2024, after sharing 50 years of marriage together.

Paul was a 1962 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, from March 1962 until he was honorably discharged in March 1965. Upon returning home, he worked for Penn State in the hospitality department until his retirement.

He is survived by his seven children, Tina Dejesus (Alex) of Oregon City, OR, Dana Lose of Portland, OR, Shaun Lose (Deanna) of Milesburg, Robert Blesh (Rose) of Milesburg, Jennifer Shah (Christopher) of Fountain, FL, Tammy Hosterman (Lance Zimmerman) of Lewistown, and Christy Benner (Shane Hanscome) of Howard, 15 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, and his canine pride and joy, Ellie, the Saint Bernard. Also surviving are two brothers, Randy Lose of Howard, and Scott Lose of Centre Hall, and a sister, Kay Kellander of Davidson, TX.

In addition to his wife, Judy, and parents, Paul and Margaret, he was predeceased by his siblings: Paulie Peters, Terry Lose, Jim Kellander, Charles “Sonny” Lose, and Joyce Anderson, and his most loyal dog, affectionately called “Lady Girl.”

Paul’s patriotism shined through in nearly all that he did throughout the years; he was extremely proud, yet humble, of his service in the United States Army. He and Judy enjoyed camping, especially at Sayers Dam in Howard and at the campground in Snow Shoe.

Funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
