Rachelle Lynette Edmiston, 34, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Born on July 1, 1987, in State College, she was the daughter of Gary M. Stover (Nancy) and Lois L. McKean, who are all surviving at their homes in Pleasant Gap. On July 10, 2010, at the Eisenhower Chapel at Penn State, she married the love of her life, Jason “Jay” Edmiston, who survives at home after sharing 11 years of marriage together.

Rachelle was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. In 2010 she graduated from Penn State with her bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. She was currently working as a Personal Banker at Reliance Bank.

In addition to her husband, Jay, she is survived by her parents: Gary and Nancy Stover, Lois McKean, and Bill and Beth Edmiston, her siblings: Kacie Leupold and her husband, Howie, Taneaka Alterio and her wife, Molly McCormick, Ben Bumbarger, Maggie Magliato, Mikey Magliato, Annemarie Hin and her husband Mony, and Andy Edmiston and Becky Utpadel-Pagels, and of course her fur baby, Gunner Mötley. She also leaves behind several Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and far too many friends to name.

Rachelle was very proud to be Native American. She was fiercely loyal and caring to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her heart and spirit were larger than life, as evident by her unwavering support of her sports teams (Denver Broncos, The Pens, The Tribe, and of course PSU, to name a few) and all things Cleveland (her adopted hometown). She found inspiration in everything, whether it was one of the many books she loved to read, the hours she spent drawing (designing all her own tattoos), the many pictures she enjoyed taking, or spontaneous road trips to discover new places. She was a free spirit. She could often be found sitting outside on a beautiful day just soaking up the sun, her best furry friend Gunner Mötley by her side. She loved being around nature. And she more than likely had the music she loved so much blasting through her speakers (Def Leppard was a must). Her love of the outdoors also extended to a newer hobby – Obstacle Course Racing. Whether it was a Spartan or a Savage Race (her personal favorite) her strength and determination to succeed were on full display. Never giving up & never backing down from a challenge, always pushing herself. She also enjoyed cooking, always coming up with new and delicious recipes after watching her favorite Food Network shows and pushing her creative side to amazing heights. With a smile that lit up the room and her infectious laugh, it was easy to see why people were so drawn to her. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her is far better off for having her in their life. Rock on Rachelle, we love you.

There will be a public viewing held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 4-6pm, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the viewing at 6pm, where the family will welcome a time for anyone to share their fondest memories and most treasured stories of Rachelle. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
