Rae Ellen De Vier

Rae Ellen De Vier, 37, of State College, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021. Born on May 1, 1983 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jill Guffey and James De Vier, who is surviving at home in Bellefonte. 

Rae Ellen earned her Associates Degree in Specialized Technology in the Engineering Program at South Hills School of Business and Technology in 2007. She worked at the Office of Physical Plant at Penn State, and then at Spectrum Control, before she attended Penn State, where she was pursuing her bachelor’s in psychology. 

In addition to her father, James, she is survived by her four children, Jalen Lucas, Pierce Vincent De Vier, Percephany De Vier-Pondexter, and Evangelene “Eve” Rosalyn Porter.

Rae Ellen was an animal lover, especially her two Corgis. She always had a boisterous and outgoing personality. More than anything, she loved her children and treasured the memories that were made with them. 

Funeral arrangements and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
