Rallings B. Roseway, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 7, 2020. God treasures the death of his people, for in their passing, He welcomes them home in Heaven to live forever. Born on November 1, 1935, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Standford and Mercella (Cummingham) Roseway. On February 12, 2002, in Melbourne, FL, he married Eddie Mae Jones, who survives at home.
Rallings was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a true believer in Jesus Christ and the teachings in the Bible. He worked in construction and agriculture for various companies throughout Florida before retiring and moving to Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
Rallings had a “green hand”. He loved working in the garden and could make all things grow. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, making many trips to Jamaica to visit his family.
Rallings is survived by his wife, two sons: Fitzroy Roseway and his wife, Felicia, and Weston Roseway; four daughters: Leonie Roseway, Kurlan Roseway, Claudette Scott, and her husband, Randolph and Judith Shaw and her husband, Woody; seven step sons: Leon Hill, Jr. and his wife, Shawn, Vincent Hill and his wife, Tawana, Samuel Hill, Theodore Hill and his wife, Andrea, Jason Hill and his wife, Debrice, Matthew Hill and Phillip Hill and two step daughters: Teresa Abdulbaaqee and her husband, Hammid, and Melissa Cromer and her husband, Timothy.
Also surviving are his four brothers: Wesley Roseway and his wife, Herman, Leberg and his wife, Barbara, Weston Roseway, and Roderick Roseway and his wife, Declina; one sister, Jocelyn William and her husband, Earnest, 62 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a private visitation at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Center Hall followed by a private burial at Zion Union Cemetery in Zion, Pennsylvania.
