Ray A. Lingle, of McVeytown, formerly of Madisonburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.  He was 95.  Born September 30, 1925 in Spring Mills, Ray was a son of the late Ray H. and Marian E. Lingle.  He was a 1943 graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational School.  On August 18, 1950 he married Lena Breon who preceded him in death in December 2019.

Ray was employed as a Master Welder at the former Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, retiring from there with 30+ years of service.  He was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Millhiem Firemen’s Club, where he was also employed for several years, and an avid hunter and fisherman.  Ray proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during WW II. 

Ray is survived by four daughters, Debra R. Talbot of McVeytown with whom he resided, Sharon M. Kay (Alan) of Reedsville, Linda A. Mountz (Rick) of Warriors Mark and Jody L. Lingle (Mick) of Beech Creek; two sons, Gregory K. Lingle (Annette) of Mifflintown and John D. Lingle of Cincinnati, OH, and eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Geraldine Meeker, Marjorie Krout, Glenn Lingle, Gladys McCool and Grace Lingle.

In accordance with family wishes, all services are private.  Contributions in memory of Ray may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
