Rebekah L. “Bekah” McClellan, 23, of Spring Mills, was taken from this world far to early, on Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Gettysburg. Born on March 17, 1998, in Hanover, she was the daughter of Daren L. and Tammy A. (Bixler) McClellan of Spring Mills.

Bekah graduated from Penns Valley High School in 2016. She worked as a server at the Outback Steak House in State College.

Bekah was a loving soul and a country girl to the core. She loved fishing and enjoyed the great outdoors, whether it was hiking or kayaking, if it was outside, she was enjoying herself. She always had a bleeding heart for animals in need, whether it was a stray cat or dog, or the occasional hawk or Canadian Loon, she would rescue them and do whatever she could to get them the help they needed. She was a beautiful, caring, and outgoing young woman. She was the type of person to always put someone else’s needs ahead of hers, always taking care of others, and fiercely protective of those she held dear. Friends were like family to her, and nothing was more important than family. She had an infectious laugh and smile that could light up the darkest of places. To say she will be forever loved and missed would be an understatement. These words and sentiments can only describe a glimmer of who she was and what she meant to those that knew her.

Along with her parents, Bekah is survived by her brothers, Emanuel M. McClellan and Elisha A. McClellan, both of Spring Mills; her maternal grandparents, Michael and Debra Day of Hanover; maternal great grandparents, Gladys Shank of Hanover and Wilson “Bill” Bixler, also of Hanover; her Aunt Jennifer Blake and her husband, Joshua, of Littlestown, PA; numerous cousins; and many close and dear friends.

Bekah was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harold and Shirley McClellan, and her Aunt Delma McClellan.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 1-4pm, at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 228 S Pennsylvania Ave, Centre Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Centre Wildlife Care, PO Box 572, Lemont, PA 16851.
