Richard S. “Dickie” Gummo, II, 60, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born on November 3, 1964, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Richard S. Gummo and Linda L. (Shuey) Gummo of Bellefonte. On March 3, 2018, he married Kelly S. Wagner, who survives at home.
Dickie attended the Bellefonte Area School District. He worked for Galen Dreibelbis doing maintenance and construction for 30 years. He then stocked shelves for Sam’s Club, which is where he met his sweetheart.
Dickie enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was a man that was more comfortable and happier at home, sitting on his front porch taking in the views of nature rather than being surrounded by crowds of people. Although he was a little cantankerous and stubborn at times, he was a straight talker. He was someone you did not wonder where you stood with him. He had the ability to tell a story, and you never quite knew if it was real or an exaggeration, but it was entertaining to say the least. He will forever be cherished in the memories of those that loved him.
Along with his wife and mother, Dickie is survived by his daughter, Brandy Shaffer and her husband, Timothy, of Bellefonte; stepson Jonathan Wagner of Honey Brook; three grandchildren, Christopher Fultz, Destiny Shaffer, and Hunter Shaffer; one step grandson, Travis Wagner; and one sister, Tina Youtzy.
Along with his father, Dickie was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Wilson.
Following Dickie’s wishes, there will be no services.
