Robert R. Moyer

Robert Ray Moyer, 70, of State College, PA passed away from this life on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Mount Nittany Hospital due to complications from COVID-19. 

Robert, also known as “Bobby”, “Bob”, and “Pudge”, was the son of the late Charles Ray and Lyda Mae (Kreamer) Moyer from Sugar Valley, PA and was born on March 7, 1950 at his family’s homestead in Smullton, PA. 

He joined the workforce as a Junior in High School to help support his parents and later retired from Penn State after 22 years of janitorial service.

 Bobby joined the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2006, was baptized in 2011 and enjoyed being a member of the State College Kingdom Hall. 

In his free time, Bobby enjoyed watching wildlife, feeding birds and squirrels, putting together puzzles, reading the Bible, and watching King Tuna.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Sherry A. Houtz of Boalsburg, PA and her daughter, Rayvin. 

Bobby ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a zest for life in his voice, those who knew him will never forget him for the jolly, happy fellow he always was.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bobby’s honor to The House of Care located at 515 West Beaver Ave, State College, PA 16801.

Arrangement were entrusted to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home of 120 W Main St, Millheim, PA.
