Rose Marie Englert, 86, passed away at home on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Born on July 18, 1934, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Elise (Hendershot) Dobson. She was married to her beloved husband, Donald Gray Englert, who survives at home. 

Rose was a graduate of Penns Valley High School. She worked at Days Inn and Hampton Inn in the housekeeping department for many years until her retirement. 

In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by her seven children, Connie Sebolt of Lewistown, Donald “Butch” Englert (Tina) of Bellefonte, Rick Englert (Christina) of Bellefonte, Bonnie Cain (Kevin) of Bellefonte, Ronald Englert (Linda) of Pleasant Gap, Willis Englert of Bellefonte, and Ludonna Haagen (Brian) of Julian; 24 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Shirley Kline of Boalsburg, Beverly Rockey of Bellefonte, Nancy Broadwater of Lancaster, and Linda Leedy of Bellefonte, and two brothers, Ronald Dobson of Spring Mills, and Robert Dobson of Centre Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Ilgen, and a brother, Willis Dobson. 

Rose enjoyed playing BINGO, Poker, gambling, and flowers. She loved having cookouts and adored all animals. More than anything, she treasured the time that she spent with her family, especially her adoring husband and their grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind countless memories that her loved ones will forever cherish. 

There will be a public viewing held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 10-11am, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Graveside services will immediately follow the viewing at Centre County Memorial Park in State College with Rev. Frank Skies officiating.
