Sandra E. “Sandy” (Yetter) Johnson

Surrounded by her loving family, Sandra E. “Sandy” Johnson, of Rebersburg, passed from this life on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.  She was 75.  Born December 7, 1945 in Smullton, Sandy was a daughter of the late Elmer and Jean “Wert” Yetter.  She was united in marriage to Frederick “Fred” Johnson on January 17, 1970.  Mr. Johnson survives at their home.

In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by two daughters, Shelly L. Regel (Robert) of Bellefonte and Jaclyn D. Tucker (Colin) of Centre Hall; one sister, Deeann Zimmerman (Joseph) of Port Matilda and four grandchildren, Makayla and Emma Regel and Liam and Elijah Tucker.  Sandy was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Johnson and one sister, Donna Blesh.

Sandy was employed as a Staff Assistant at Penn State University.  She retired in 2008 with 25 years of service.  Sandy was of the Lutheran faith.  She loved to bake and knit.  She was always knitting blankets for the homeless, wanting to help out anyway she could.  Most of all Sandy loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In accordance with family wishes, Sandy will be laid to rest in the Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery in Rebersburg during a private graveside service to be held Thursday, February 11, 2021.  Contributions in her memory may be given to The Hope Fund of Penns Valley, POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
