Sylvia P. Hanley

Sylvia P. Hanley, 76, of Monument, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the U.P.M.C. Hospital, Lock Haven. She was born in Lock Haven on September 30, 1944 a daughter of the late Alva and Pearl Haagen Peters. She was united in marriage to Ernest Hanley in 1963. He preceded her on Nov. 25, 2007.

Sylvia was a teachers aide for the Head Start program for many years and she was also a cook at the Furst Corner Restaurant for many years. She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis ( Vicki ) of Monument, Alvin ( Barbara ) of Blanchard, and Duane ( Melissa ) of Beech Creek, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3,2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard with Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
