Terry was a 1965 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He worked at Sonoco Bag Plant in Milesburg, retiring after 10 years of service. He was a member of the Moshannon United Methodist Church.

Terry was an avid hiker in the Quehanna Wildlife Area and the Sproul State Forrest. He loved taking pictures of the wild life and forestry foliage, even though he disliked having his picture taken. He was always excited to go and he would start to pack a week in advance.

Terry liked to watch football on TV. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates play on TV and loved the times he attended the games. He was an avid reader, enjoyed brainteaser puzzles, and a challenging jigsaw puzzle. He played a lot of cards, especially pinochle with his nieces and nephews. He was extremely proud he was a AA attendee and was sober for over 24 years.
