Autumn in Happy Valley is always a special time, occasionally punctuated by particularly memorable moments that arise from a confluence of circumstances all aligning in just the right way with perfect timing. Last weekend added another such instance to the annals of Penn State football. With the team playing well, a rare visit from an SEC opponent, College GameDay back on campus, and the White Out returning after a pandemic-driven hiatus, the table was set for this group of Nittany Lions to shine, and when the opportunity came, they delivered.

With one of the schedule’s few mismatches coming up this weekend, the guy spend plenty of time looking back on the White Out weekend that was and reviewing what may become a defining football game for Penn State in 2021. This week’s stop on the Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail is Elk Creek Cafe & Aleworks, a great spot to hang out after a day spent exploring Happy Valley, enjoying live music and a wide selection of beers brewed on-site, inside or at their outdoor beer garden. There is also exclusive interview footage from the red carpet premiere of Saving The Roar at the State Theatre on Friday of Auburn weekend. Penn State alum Nick Mantegna, a broadcaster for Villanova Athletics and the Big East Network, stops in to preview the Wildcats. Brandon, Kevin, Mailman, and Chris give their score predictions + Mike the Mailman looks ahead to some of next weekend’s best gambling plays in his weekly Trends to Treasure segment.
