Paterno nominated for Presidential Medal of Freedom, nation’s highest civilian honor

U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, RHoward Township, nominated Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a letter sent Thursday to President Barack Obama.
