Penn State Football: Michigan Game Slated for Noon Kick

No. 10 Penn State football’s Oct. 15 showdown at No. 4 Michigan will kick off at noon and air on Fox, the network announced on Monday.

The game will be part of Fox’s weekly Big Noon Saturday marquee game of the week.

Now sitting at 5-0 on the year, this will be Penn State’s third noon kickoff so far this season. While not yet announced, there is some belief that Penn State’s home meeting against Ohio State could also be scheduled for Fox’s noon broadcast slot on Oct. 29. So far, the Nittany Lions’ 7:30 kick against Minnesota on Oct. 22 is the only other remaining game on the schedule with announced kick time.

Last season, Penn State hosted Michigan and eventually fell 21-17 in the latest meeting between the two teams. This year Michigan and Penn State and will likely both enter the contest as top 10 teams with the Nittany Lions sneaking into the top 10 on Sunday in the most recent AP Top 25 poll. Under coach James Franklin, the Nittany Lions are 3-5 against the Wolverines but with three of those victories coming since the start of the 2017 meeting.

Penn State has a bye this week after beating Northwestern 17-7 on Saturday. Michigan, which defeated Iowa on Saturday, travels to Indiana before the matchup with the Nittany Lions.
