Jadyn Davis, the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit and top quarterback in the 2024 class is set to visit Penn State this weekend as the Nittany Lions take on Auburn under the lights at Beaver Stadium.
Davis tweeted his intentions to visit State College on Monday evening. Davis is rated the top prospect in the 2024 class by the 247 Network but has not yet received a composite ranking which aggregates all public recruiting service rankings.
The Fort Mill, South Carolina native hits the scales at 6-feet, 185 pounds and has received interest from Ohio State, Alabama among other schools.
According to the 247 Network, Penn State offered Davis in April of 2021 before he eventually took an unofficial visit to State College in July of 2021.
Interestingly enough, Davis was offered by Auburn in early September pitting the two programs against one another on and off the field Saturday evening.
Penn State’s 2022 class is currently rated the top in the nation by the 247 Network with 24 verbal commitments headlined by defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton. If Davis were to commit to Penn State he would head to Happy Valley behind current 2022 quarterback commit Drew Allar who is currently rated the No. 7 overall quarterback prospect in the 2022 class and No. 92 overall prospect in the nation.
