Diamonds & Lace Bridal Shop Closing at the End of 2021

A State College area bridal shop will soon close after nearly 15 years in business.

Diamonds & Lace Bridal, 1524 N. Atherton St., plans to close at the end of the year, owner Diana Zeisky wrote in a Facebook post and on the shop’s website.

“I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone that made Diamonds & Lace what it is today,” Zeisky wrote. “We loved every single minute of it. We loved the memories, moments, and the beautiful looks we were able to help create.”

Zeisky originally operated the shop on Pike Street in Lemont before moving to the current location in the summer of 2014.

She wrote that, “we are under contract with a different business concept…one that will be equally as special as Diamonds & Lace. More on this will come in the upcoming weeks…and we hope you will send us all the positive vibes as we explore new beginnings”

Zeisky contacted or attempted to contact all of the store’s clients before making the public announcement about the closure, she wrote.

Customers who have already placed orders will receive them and Zeisky has secured a small space behind the store for shipments and alterations after the shop closes. The store will accept custom orders on items until Dec. 15.

“I have always said this business is an emotion based one,” Zeisky wrote. “My girls, my husband, my kids have all heard me say 1000 times over that we are therapists, stylists, psychologists, a honest friend, mediator, all wrapped into being wedding consultants. I know very well that hearing about a bridal store closing can cause uncertainty, stress and anxiety.”

The shop also will have a liquidation sale.

“It does sadden me to know we will be ending this chapter…but at the same time we are starting another chapter that brings me excitement and anticipation,” Zeisky wrote.
