State College salad and burger joint Hello Bistro will permanently close its doors at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, Hello Bistro spokesperson Courtney Caprara confirmed Monday.
The Pittsburgh-based chain, located at 126 W. College Ave., opened in October 2019 in the former location of The Diner.
“We are grateful to our team members, who have gone above and beyond to share salads, burgers and good vibes with Penn Staters and the State College community over the last several years,” Caprara wrote in an email to Onward State.
Hello Bistro offers a menu featuring nine custom salad variations, eight burger choices, grilled cheeses, grain bowls and more that will be available in State College until Mother’s Day on May 14.
For now, the restaurant will continue service from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until its closure.
All of the Pittsburgh-area Hello Bistro locations will remain in operation.
