New Self-Storage Facility Opens in Ferguson Township, One of Several Planned Around State College Area

One of several new self-storage facilities planned around the State College area recently opened its doors.

Brickwork Self Storage, 222 Science Park Road in Ferguson Township, offers 560 climate-controlled units in a various sizes, from compact 5-by-5 units to large 10-by-31 units, as well as drive-up units with power access.

Developed by Roeshot Construction of State College and managed by Storage Asset Management, the three-story, 72,000-square-foot facility utilizes keypad entry, 24/7 recording security cameras, on-site management and a smart entry system that allows renters to open their storage units with their phones.

At least four other self-storage facilities are separately planned by different owners in the Centre Region, including three more in Ferguson Township.

A land development plan was approved in 2024 for a self-storage facility with six buildings totaling 46,038 square feet at 3490 W. College Ave. Its plan includes 531 storage units for rental.

Nearby at 3610 W. College Ave., a plan has been conditionally approved for a 62,825-square-foot Stack N Stor facility with 514 climate-controlled units.

A preliminary land development plan was submitted earlier this year for a 25,447-square-foot facility with 587 self-storage units on Gateway Drive off of Park Center Boulevard.

In Patton Township, developer Bob Poole submitted a plan in 2024 for a three-floor, 109,500-square-foot facility with 809 units to be located on Valley Vista Drive just off of Interstate 99 on a parcel adjacent to Home Depot. The township Board of Supervisors conditionally approved the plan in February.
