Pine Grove Hall is serving up some new offerings and opening its doors an additional day each week.

Starting this week, the restaurant and live music venue at 101 E. Pine Grove Rd. in Pine Grove Mills will be open on Wednesdays, expanding its hours to five days a week from Wednesday through Sunday.

Proprietor Liz Grove said in a release that Pine Grove Hall also will now be offering a “casual fare” menu 5-11 p.m. on Wednesdays and and 4-9 p.m. on Sundays instead of the regular dinner menu.

The casual fare menu includes items such as stuffed piquillo peppers, cod croquettes, fried smelt and creme caramel, to name a few.

“It’s just as important to have these more casual moments at Pine Grove Hall,” Grove said. “From the beginning, we’ve said that we are ‘an upscale casual restaurant and bar with an emphasis on live music and a locally-sourced menu.’ We launched the fine dining experience, now we are ready to emphasize a more casual experience.”

Thursday through Saturday the dinner menu will be served from 5 to 9 p.m., with the casual fare menu offered from 9 to 11 p.m. Brunch will continue on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More talent will be taking the stage as well. Patrons can look forward to touring bands joining the lineup on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., beginning with Texas-based singer-songwriter Mike Stinson on May 25.

To kick off Pine Grove Hall’s first Wednesday service, Ken Baxter will be joined by Molly Countermine for “Stories & Songs.”

Additions to the menu will be ongoing and will rotate every eight weeks.

“We wanted to offer menus that come from a shared-eating culture,” Executive Chef Tory Glossner said. “Not ‘shared’ in the sense of physically sharing one big plate; rather, shared in the experience of eating it.”

Tapas-style, Cuban, Korean, English pub, and Japanese menu influences are expected in the coming months. Offerings will be matched to the local seasons and will tie in with the cocktails, beer and wine menus, Glossner said.

Pine Grove Hall’s new hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations can be made online.

After more than a year of renovations, Pine Grove Hall opened in June 2020 in the 120-year-old building that was last home to the Old Oak Tavern.
