Sheetz is celebrating Thanksgiving week by offering travelers a reduced price on some gas.
Now through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, Unleaded 88 gas is $1.99 per gallon at all Sheetz locations that carry that fuel grade.
Unleaded 88 is approved by the U.S. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use in all model year 2001 or newer cars, trucks and SUVs. Containing 15% ethanol, compared to the 10% in regular Unleaded 87 gas, Unleaded 88 burns cleaner and is considered more environmentally friendly.
Motorists can find Sheetz locations offering Unleaded 88 on the company’s website or through the Sheetz app. Most Sheetz locations in Centre County offer Unleaded 88, according to the website. The Valley Vista Drive store in State College and the Philipsburg store are the only locations in the county that are not listed as carrying it.
Regular gas prices have been steadily declining over the last month, and the national average as of Monday was about $3.27 per gallon, according to Gas Buddy.
