Smoke ‘N’ Subs Express convenience store is expected to open “soon” at 300 S. Pugh St. in State College.
Smoke ‘N’ Subs Express is located in the former location of Subway on South Pugh Street, which closed in March after 36 years in business. The reason for the closure was not released.
According to a light-up sign in the window, the convenience store will sell vape products along with sub sandwiches.
Smoke ‘N’ Subs Express will join 8 Mile Pizza next door on the ground floor of O’Brien Place. The pizzeria opened in August in the former location of Gumby’s Pizza after its closure in January 2023 following more than 30 years in business.
