The 57th Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts began in earnest on Thursday as the annual juried Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition got underway in downtown State College and on the Penn State campus.
After Children and Youth Day kicked the festivities off on Wednesday, about 300 artists from throughout the country now will be showcasing and selling their work through Sunday as the centerpiece of the festival, which annually draws an estimated 125,000 people.
The festival will feature dozens of musicians and entertainers, food vendors, street painting, a book festival, a craft beverage expo, races and more. See our guide for the details and keep up with all of our festival coverage here.
