As thousands of fans poured into the Bryce Jordan Center for Tuesday night’s Zach Bryan concert, they no doubt noticed the Penn State arena glowing in orange.
The Jordan Center’s exterior was lit in orange in recognition of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week, March 10-16.
“Seeing the Bryce Jordan Center illuminated in orange is symbolic of the strength and resiliency of those continuing to live every day with multiple sclerosis despite the challenges,” Anne Mageras, President of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter, said in a statement.
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system which currently has no cure. An estimated 1 million people live with MS in the United States.
Walk MS: Your Way Central PA will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Tom Tudek Memorial Park, 400 Herman Drive, to raise money and support. Visit the event’s Facebook group for more information.
