Cyclists of all skill levels will hit the road on Saturday to support Centre Volunteers in Medicine and its work providing health care to uninsured community members.

The 17th annual Central Cycling Classic will get underway on Saturday morning at American Legion Post 245, 1950 Pine Hall Road, State College.

“We are thrilled to host the Central Cycling Classic again this year,” Paula Williams, CVIM executive director, said in a statement. “The funds raised at this physically engaging event will help us continue to provide healthcare services to the uninsured in our community.”

Participants can choose various routes tailored to different skill levels, ranging from leisurely scenic rides to more challenging courses and lengths from 7 to 62.4 miles. The event has rolling start times based on the route selected.

As in prior years, road marking and signs will be in place to assist riders and routes can be downloaded in advance. New for 2025, participants can also download the RideWithGPS application in advance for turn-by-turn voice navigation.

CVIM is the only permanent free clinic offering free health care to the uninsured in Centre County. Last year it provided more than $3.5 million in services thanks to the support of sponsors, volunteers and community partners.
