The annual Living in One Neighborhood (LION) Bash returns to State College on Thursday, showcasing over 170 local businesses and organizations.

A partnership between the borough and Penn State, LION Bash is a combination of a resource fair and block party featuring student organizations, neighborhood associations, clubs, businesses and local food vendors from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Allen Street.

Both new and returning Penn State students as well as present Borough residents can learn about various opportunities and resources through the many engagement stations set up along Allen Street, providing participants information on how they serve the community.

Live entertainment will take place throughout the evening in Sidney Friedman Park, showcasing talent from local performers, including  RayDIANCE Dance Company, Richard Benninghoff Magician, Urban Fusion, Dance4Joy and Home Planet. Other entertainment will include Blue and White Photo Booths, Chip Mock Caricatures, Face Painting by Emily, Nittany Balloons and Rhian Douglas Strolling Magic.

A variety of local food vendors will be available during LION Bash, including Idou Coffee, Kona Ice, Juana’s, Real Taste 570, Rebelz, Brazilian Munchies, Twisted Whisk and Nomadic Spirits, to name a few, and organizers also encourage attendees to visit downtown restaurants.
