Mount Nittany Health’s Community Day will return for a second year with a free, family-friendly event filled with games, activities and hands-on learning experiences designed to bring health and wellness to life.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at Mount Nittany Health Toftrees, 164 Greenview Drive.

Highlights include a plush toy clinic, with each child receiving a plush dog to take through a friendly check-up with a Mount Nittany Health provider, as well as a touch-a-truck experience, garden rock painting, certified volunteer therapy dogs, car seat safety checks, a Jared Box Project activity and an orthopedics obstacle course.

New this year are face painting, a caricature artist and a healthy snack spinning wheel.

Last year’s inaugural Community Day drew more than 500 attendees, including over 200 children.

“Community Day reflects Mount Nittany Health’s ongoing commitment to supporting family health and strengthening connections with the communities it serves,” the State College-based health system wrote in a news release.
