The Summer Music Picnic Series has returned to the South Hills School of Business & Technology in State College for the 36th year, with live performances mosts Sundays through Aug. 24.
Concert grounds at the school, 480 Waupelani Drive, open at 5 p.m. when guests are invited to find a picnic table or spread out a blanket on the grassy lawn. Music from the bandshell stage begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
The series kicked off last week with the Triple A Blues Band and continues on Sunday, June 8, with the Nittany Knights Barbershop Chorus.
As part of South Hills’ “55 Years of Teaching People, Changing Lives’ celebration, the school will be featuring other community organizations at a table on the concert grounds. This week’s featured organization is Centre Helps.

Lemonade is always available for a penny a glass, and bathroom facilities and water fountains are available in the school.
