Happy Halloween!

Local residents lined up Sunday night on Fraser Street in State College for Centre Region Parks and Recreation’s annual Halloween parade . The State College Area High School marching band, cheerleaders and families dressed up in impressive costumes. Little ones dressed as cute animals and bikers, while older kids were characters from films such as Star Wars and Stranger Things.

Onward State staffers were on the scene to capture moments from this year’s parade.

The State High marching band was decked out in its costumes. Many of the individual instrument sections wore matching costumes that were Star Wars, crayon, and Mario-themed.

On the other side, a little boy dressed in his black shoes and basic blues as a member of the Penn State Blue Band.

Even the dogs got in on the Halloween fun. Some were dressed in costumes and others were just there to enjoy the parade.

The creativity from the crowd was impressive, with princesses and bunnies, milk and cereal and even a “Top Gun” fighter plane.

As the sun set on another beautiful Halloween weekend night, State College community members got together to show off their costumes.
